Does anyone know if there is anywhere in the U.K that changes euro coins back into £ Sterling?

I have about 40 euros all in coins that needs changing back into £’s is there a place (bank/building society or other) that will do it for me, preferably for no commission?

    Any of the International banks should be able to help you with that. Like cashing an american check in the uk has to go to a special bank. That is what we have had to do. Hope it helps.

    Banks, change bureaus, airport forex and other places only take NOTES (they don’t take coins). Sorry, that’s the way it is.

    The best way to change them back into GBP is to find one of your mates who is going back to the Continent. Just ask nicely and they’ll almost certainly do it for you.

    All travellers know that you spend all your coins on the last day of your trip. If you are left coins, you’re stuck with them. That’s why there are all those charity boxes with a zillion coins in them at airports.
